Antimicrobial Centre of Excellence (AMR CoE)

Telangana is establishing a unique, world-class Antimicrobial Centre of Excellence jointly funded by the Government of India and the Government of Telangana. This CoE will mark a significant milestone in the journey towards combating antimicrobial resistance effectively. The CoE will feature sophisticated facilities to train and equip MSME partners with the latest technologies, thereby increasing their global competitiveness.

Flow Chemistry Technology Hub (FCT Hub)

The Government of Telangana has established a multi-industry supported Flow Chemistry Innovation and Technology Hub to accelerate the adoption of flow chemistry and continuous manufacturing in the pharma sector. The Center of Excellence (CoE), set up at Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) with support from Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Laurus Labs, will be guided by leading global scientists including Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, Prof. Steven Ley, Prof. Oliver Kappe, and Prof. Shu Kobayashi.

The hub addresses a critical industry need: despite the clear benefits of flow chemistry, the Indian API sector has struggled to adopt continuous synthesis due to process complexity and translation challenges. By providing the expertise, infrastructure, and industry collaboration required, the CoE will help convert lab-scale flow chemistry successes into scalable, continuous manufacturing solutions for APIs and intermediates.
